Organ of the Finland Union Conference published by Kirjatoimi (Finland SDA Publishing House) in Tampere, Finland. A combined evangelistic journal and general church paper in Finnish, containing church news and promotional material, general articles on doctrinal, devotional, and other subjects, such as the Week of Prayer readings. As of January 1993 the church paper Adventtiairut (“Advent Herald”) and the evangelistic journal Nykyaika (“Our Times”) merged, and a new publication entitled Nykyaika was launched.
Before the merger, until the end of 1992, Nykyaika was published as a monthly evangelistic journal (1897 to 1945, as Aikain Vartija; 1946 to 1967, as Valon Viesti ).
